Chobhar is a village in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal and part of Kirtipur Municipality. Chobhar is known for the nearby Chobhar Gorge through which all the water of the valley drains. There is also a temple, Jal Binayak Temple and Adinath Lokeshwar, that is sacred to both Buddhists and Hindus. Near the gorge, there are the Chobhar caves, an extensive network of natural caves some of which are still unexplored. Measuring a minimum of 1250 metres, Chobhar caves are the second largest in Nepal and the third largest in Asia.
